Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why are there no charts of fund prices?
Charts divert attention. There are so many possible variations that it is very hard to keep decisions disciplined. We don't object to charts and we link to several chart providers, but to keep the process simple and straight forward, we suggest you follow the tables. Strategy rules are structured to buy funds turning up out of downtrends and sell funds turning down out of uptrends. When a fund is on entry, chances are pretty good you will like the looks of its chart at that time.
2. Is there a reason you feature Rydex Funds and not ProFunds?
It is a hard choice. The decision to feature one became a question of time and space. We manage private accounts at Rydex. Many Profunds are included throughout the tables, especially the ones that are not duplicated in Rydex. ProFunds is a very good mutual fund company. We will probably keep adding more funds from this company.
3. How do I transfer my IRA/Roth account to Rydex?
Use the Rydex Link on our "links page". When you are on the Rydex website, click on "account service forms" on the left navigation bar, then click on transfer IRA "link" for the transfer and account application forms you will need to complete a transfer.
4. Can I have someone make strategy exchanges for me?
- You can authorize an agent to make exchanges for you. You can also grant telephone exchange and purchase privileges to an individual other than yourself as a provision on your account.
- You can arrange to have McDonald Capital Management make strategy exchanges in a Rydex model of your selection, provided the securities regulations in your State permit this service for a fee. Contact us for agreement forms and pricing. Accounts under our advisory agreement with Rydex do not have a minimum requirement.
5. Passwords?
We do not retain passwords. However, if you forget your password, e-mail us and we will establish a new password for you.
